Bloody goblins in Undermountain level 2. How do I fix this?

Also, is there a way to keep from being dazed by the noxious ogres on level
1? Being immune to poison and having freedom doesn't seem to work against
them.

Use a ranged weapon? increase the saving throw for that...

The goblins use dye arrows to mark you as a target...just deal with it.
Extremely evasive character might avoid the color arrows better, ghostly
visage and the like spells help.

Avoiding getting dazed requires immunity to mind-affecting spells iirc.
Potion of clarity helps too.

As far as I remember, a potion or scroll of restoration should work.

The durablity of the green color is a bug. Save and reload helps.

It doesn't seem to have any adverse effects. I just hope I don't have
to go through the entire game looking like I fell into one of those
pools of radioactive goop in Fallout.

How weird. Ah well, I'll keep that in mind.

How long does it take to wear off? I rested and it was still there; I
went back to the surface and got White Whatsername to heal me, and it
was still there; I used one of the dyes to change your equipment colour
and it was still there.

Not now that they're all dead and no one's using it to target you.

Save your game and reload it. It's the only way I've found to remove the
green.

Not absolutely sure of the following, but it's something like this. The are
different kinds of ill-effects one can get during battle:

Poisoned and paralyzed (and maybe some other) that are affecting you
physically (poison or acid are possible causes). Fortitude saving throw
against these (constitution, potion of endurance to boost).

Stunned, dazed and confused are affecting you mentally (heavy blow, spells),
as I mentioned mind-affecting. Will saving against these. (wisdom, potion of
clarity).

Anyone care to elaborate/point out possible inaccuracies?

That fixed it. It turned out that I hadn't quite cleared all the goblins
out, and I got splattered again. Funnily enough, this time it wore off like
it was supposed to. So I guess it's an intermittent bug.

Patch 1.62 was supposed to fix that. The bug's mentioned in the notes.

I guess they didn't do a very good job of fixing it, since I'm running
1.62. (Read the notes? What's that?)

No, somebody mixed up the version numbers. In 1.62, the bug is still there -
Bioware says it will be fixed in the next patch (1.64, IIRC).

I guess you're right. I'd played through HOTU a week or so ago, and
didn't notice any problem with the dye, but perhaps I just got lucky.
