Hello, this is prob a very retarded question, but ima ask it anyway, I was cleaning my room today and I stumbled upon a full packet a Vent filters, you know, Filters that u put under Vents so they keep dusts and other particles from flying out of ur floor vents and into ur bedroom, well the more I looked at them, I got an idea, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to cut some squares out of the Vent filters and attach them to my pc so dust does not get into it? I don't know if this is a stupid or a genius idea, please tell me your thoughts, my PC only has dust filters on the bottom of the case where the power supply fan is.

They might work, but you would have to check how it affects your temperatures, since they could restrict airflow to some extent. You would only want to cover intakes, and make sure they're not bumping into the blades of your fans. Also, I'm not sure if they would be washable, or otherwise cleanable.

its ok I found out a better idea, I had a window screen that I kept in my closet because it has a few holes in it, so what I did was I cut two 6 inch by 6 inch squares and I put them on the top and back of the pc, BOOM! DIY dust filter, im a genius. XD
