I cannot build, so my options are prebuilt or pay some computer shop locally to build one for me. I want to do some high end gaming and maybe VR, with a budget of $1,000 USD to $3,500. Wait until new chips drop, go low end, middle, or high end? I am using an old Cyberpower with a 1070 GPU. Whatever I get, I don't want to have to open up the case or do anything to it for a couple of years. So good, quality components with nothing to switch out is paramount. I look, look, look. The general consensus seems to be rule out CyberPower, IBuyPower, and Dell/Alienware off of the list immediately. I thought about NZXT but was turned off by the lousy components they use. Looking at ABS, Skytech, don't like the return shipping and restocking fees from the high end boutique Systems Integrators. Costco has a glorious return policy but their selection of computers suck. I keep coming back to Corsair computers with their solid components. Expensive but they look well built with a two year warranty. Maybe something like this? Any thoughts or suggestions?
