[SOLVED] How are Corsair prebuilt computers?

I cannot build, so my options are prebuilt or pay some computer shop locally to build one for me. I want to do some high end gaming and maybe VR, with a budget of $1,000 USD to $3,500. Wait until new chips drop, go low end, middle, or high end? I am using an old Cyberpower with a 1070 GPU. Whatever I get, I don't want to have to open up the case or do anything to it for a couple of years. So good, quality components with nothing to switch out is paramount. I look, look, look. The general consensus seems to be rule out CyberPower, IBuyPower, and Dell/Alienware off of the list immediately. I thought about NZXT but was turned off by the lousy components they use. Looking at ABS, Skytech, don't like the return shipping and restocking fees from the high end boutique Systems Integrators. Costco has a glorious return policy but their selection of computers suck. I keep coming back to Corsair computers with their solid components. Expensive but they look well built with a two year warranty. Maybe something like this? Any thoughts or suggestions? @RECLINERDAVE sorry for spamming your thread and don't get me wrong, that Corsair prebuilt in your link is one of the better deals I've seen on here. I saw that $3000 price and seeing how I haven't posted a DDR5 build to date it was killing me to see what they would cost without skimping on the hardware. I discovered if I went non RGB I could fit a 3080 Ti in that budget.

Not a bad deal as far as prebuilts go.

Do you have a local builder that is more trustworthy than a name out of the phone book?

If there is a reliable guy, that's what I'd do.............but they are hard to find compared to 20 years ago before PCs became an ordinary commodity with low profit margins.

Puget Systems is another custom builder to consider.

No, don't know anyone or any computer stores, all strangers....

Uh. Might be nitpicking, but... Not opening the case for years sounds like a horrid idea. You should open it at least twice a year - not to switch anything out, but simply to clean the assembled dust out. Your computer will thank you by not dying the heat death prematurely.

A question. Is there no online shop in the US that lets you order parts, then assemble them for a fee? They exist here in Europe and they are awesome because you will always get what you ordered and you got the choice to assemble the system yourself as if you ordered from newegg, for example, or pay them a bit extra for assembly. I only buy from websites like that (mainly because the parts often have the best prices there, too, or nearly), usually cheaper than prebuilts with all the choices on your end. Since they don't put a seal on those systems, opening the case also won't void warranty, a problem I had with my very first gaming PC, which was a prebuilt.
