How bad can the bottleneck be with the a8 6500 and a r9 290x?

As in the tittle I have an r9 290x and an a8 6500 apu 3.5 ghz (never overclocked it) 8gb of ram and a 750 w psu (EVGA BQ 80 Plus bronze),How badd will it be like is and it worth changing platform for performance. You can ask me anything about my system.

It depends on the title. It is performing well enough for your needs right now?

For that GPU, it should be fine. But if you upgrade your GPU in the future there will most certainly be a bottleneck.

I got the r9 290x and Im upgrading from a r7 240 (pretty bad) Im gonna the guess the diference will be masive but Will I be able to play BF with 1080 and medium settings at 60 fps, also thanks for the quick responses shows me supportive this forum really is 😛

Battlefield 1 is a pretty CPU intensive game, but at medium settings you should be fine as long as you over clock the CPU a bit. You really should upgrade that CPU soon though. For comparison I have an a10 7870k at 5.1GHz and a GTX 1050ti and get an average of 55 fps on ultra 1080p
