Question How bad is it to use and charge a notebook at 99%?

Your supposed to charge up to some 82% ish and let it drain down to 20%ish , yet the problem is that notebook batteries and current day applications drain the battery so fast that you plug in and out your notebook charger at least twice a day and for heavy work even more than that!

Should you do heavy work and keep charging 99% or simply charge and uncharge while doing heavy work, even if that constantly increases the total battery charge cycles value by 4-5 int each day, and does this cause problems for the battery life ?

Well, the actual place you want to be is 60-70% all the time, so plug unplug between 60 and 70.

But all that is just "best practice" no one does this.
You can let your laptop battery charge to 100% and let it die, it's fine.
Yes, it might reduce it's life time after a while, but no by that much.
