How bad is my HDD Damaged

Hello,
-I have an HP Probook 4540s (http://egypt.souq.com/eg-en/hp-probook-4540s-laptop-15-6-inch-750gb-6gb-silver-5029147/i/)

-Every time I start the computer it says me SMART HARD DISK FAILURE and when I perform a check it indicates the error: SMART CHECK:FAILED and gives me a serial number.

-I looked up on the internet,found HD Tune PRO and went to "HEALTH" tab:

The errors indicated in the "HEALTH" tab:

IMPORTANT: I bought my HP Probook 4540s before one year and it warranty expired last month.
: Before 3 days I did a LOW LEVEL FORMAT and for 2 days the SMART CHECK test
was passed
:Can I repair it or leave unallocated (How to)
:Should I replace the drive immediately
I have to partitions C AND D and Windows is not indicating any error or file loss under C Drive....
.
Any help would be appreciated..................

My suggestion - backup your important data immediately. I would replace that hard drive (a 1TB HDD for a laptop is about $50-$60, or a 250GB SSD is around $100-$120).

I would replace the drive. Part of it is failing which means the rest won't be far behind. Back up asap. Maybe put an SSD in it instead of another HD. They are much more reliable in laptops.

Hi

Run makers hard disk diagnostic ,have it fix any bad sectors
Then run chkdsk ( full) if it finds more problems then drive is failing fast

If no bad sectors. ( for a short while ) you will be able to clone the old drive to the new replacement drive
Acronis is provided by most hard drive makers , choose old or new hard drive makers web site

There are other programs which can migrate to new hard drive
Providing new is no smaller than old drive


Re low level format what software did you use?

Hirens boot cd contains a set of hard drive diagnostics programs for most brand of hard drive, or go to hard drive makers web site

I used HDD GURU: Low level format and it lasted about 3 days but nothing
Another thing which I cannot understand is why HD Tune PRO is showing :122184624 reallocated sectors count but HDD Regenerator is showing only: 25520

Theoretically - if the motor is going on the drive (not a constant 5400 or 7200 RPM), then a sector can be marked as good one time, and bad another (if it is spinning at the correct speed, sector is good, when it is not, sector is bad....)

The raw values of the SMART attributes are always intuitive. Sometimes they look better in hexadecimal:

122 184 624 = 0x074863B0

0x63B0 = 25520
