hey guys, I finally saved up the money to upgrade my 1070 but i'm still new to this I didn't think about bottleneck. the bottle kneck calculater says a little over 18% bottlekneck , how bad is that really and is it still worth purchasing ??? if it is , I was planning on getting this( put the link at the end ) model card becuse of cooling and highest over /boost clock I saw. is that pointless with bottle neck and maybe I want to get a cheaper card with more base speeds if there of no use to me ??? thank you for any advice. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TV9BVVV?creativeASIN=B07TV9BVVV&linkCode=w61&imprToken=ly1FTZ-8VQTQSEr4hF0rwQ&slotNum=9&tag=pcg-roundup-20

Bottleneck calculators are garbage - just ignore them.
What is your current rig, your monitor, and what are you looking to play?

my rig is an i7700k with an Msi armor 1070 , Asus apex ix MB EVGA 750w psu. My monitor rn is acre xfa240 1080p 144hz , but I figured the next upgrade after the card would be a 2k-4k monitor. I play pretty much everything, shooters, rpgs, open world , ect. as I stream as well.

I’m not overcloced now but was planning it after the card upgrade if it helped with the supposed bottle neck

There's nothing wrong with your current setup... unless there's something not meeting your expectations?
