How big is Windows 8.1

I want to download window 8.1 but don't want to download it if its to big. Can anyone tell me the download size?

How large is the OS to download if you don't have Windows 8? For instance you can buy Windows 8.1 Pro for Students for 70 dollars.

Now in the comments on the very own MS website it is said that you can download this and put it onto a flashdrive or burn it onto a disk to use it on a fresh computer. My question is, how large of a download is the full W8.1 Pro OS?
