recently my laptop got really slow, so i decided to get a ssd, but due to my laptop only have 1 empty m.2 slot, so like it or not i have to get m.2 ssd even though i dont like it because the price relatively high in my country. i'm still curious how much capacity should i get, someone please recommend me about this, i only using it to store 1 game which use less than 10gb and get performance boost when boot up. my laptop is already pre installed with windows 10 and it is installed in the hard drive. will i still get some performance boost and is it worth?

Correct. Only what lives on the SSD benefits from the performance.

And I'd get a 250GB drive instead of the 120GB recommended.
The OS, depending on which one, will take more than 20GB.
Win 7...
The switch from an HDD to any SSD is going to be an outstanding improvment. If you only plan on storing the OS and the game on the SSD you can get a 120-128 gb M.2 SSD and have almost 100gb left. (OS typically takes about 20 gb.) if youre wondering just how much of a difference it will make, there are plenty of videos on youtube. Typically, booting up on your average SATA SSD with windows 10 takes about 6-10 seconds (depending on which one you get.

so basically i wont get any boot up speed boost if my os is not at the ssd itself?

Win 7, with all current updates, will go to ~45GB.
Win 10 will squeeze into 25GB, but that will only grow with time.
