How can a mage kill Mestifoteles-help!

How can a mage kill this devil Mestifoteles at the end of the Hordes of
Underdark? It's totally immune to any magic I have used on him. After
changing myself to the Red Dragon form I can only scratch him a little (1-5
HP). Please help! I'm totally stuck :-(

1. The Big M has resistance and damage reduction on almost everything --
except acid. So use anything with acidic properties.

2. Big M hits hard -- never, never let him bash on your mage. You'll be
killed in a blink - but I think you know this already 😉

3. You have to have lots of cannon fodder for Big M to bash on. Bring your
henchmen and summon critters. Resurrect henchmen when they fall. (Buy lots
of wands!)

4. Sometimes you get lucky -- there're reports of killing Big M with a Drown
spell, either from a Druid or a summoned elder water elemental.

5. Tell us about your character and spells known, henchmen available and
equippments.
