how can i check that my motherboard is 64 bit processor vompatible or not

I am thinking of changing my processor so can anybody tell me that can i change 32 bit processor with a 64 bit processor on a same motherboard

All processors as well as corresponding motherboards from 2005 or so is 64 bit capable. It is your Operating System(OS) that can either be 32 bit or 64 bit. 64 bit Windows is now a requirement to play many modern games as it can use more than 4 GBs of ram. Any modern processor and motherboard will work in 64bit mode so just get the one you like.

You failed to tell us what motherboard and CPU you have. And that would help a lot.

However, it is likely that both your motherboard and CPU are already 64 bit, but Microsoft, in its infinite wisdom, sold Windows as a 32 bit OS for years after the hardware was already 64 bit. So it is very likely that all you need is to get a 64 bit version of Windows.

If that is the case, I would suggest waiting a few more months (rumors say the end of July) for Windows 10 to come out, and grab it. If you are using Windows 7 or 8, you will get a free upgrade from Microsoft, and that will almost certainly be a 64 bit version.
