Hi everyone so I had this problem where my CPU was overheating but then I realized it wasn't my CPU it was my GPU so I decided to clean it up.
I watched lots of videos on youtube on how to do it and I was doing it pretty good until I opened my grapich card and watched it inside
My Graphic card got a Heat Dissipator on it's CPU where I want to add some Thermal Paste and I can see that below the Heat Dissipator it's pretty damn dirty but I don't know how to take it off or clean it!! I've been searching alot on the web and I haven't find how!

Here are some Pictures of my video card opened

Any kind of advice and help is really appreciated
Srry for my bad english 🙁

<--clears throat "PrChewii remembers the first time he played a game with Zotac560Ti like it was yesterday. Since then, Zotac560Ti was there for PrChewii every day, always ready to play and have fun. So many conquered enemies together, always having each other's back. Celebrating the best times and holding each other up during the bad ones. ZotacGTX560Ti, rest in peace, you're a great card." Looks clean to me! I'd put the shroud back on and call it a day. If you absolutely must apply new thermal paste between the GPU and your card, you should be able to flip it over and find screws on the underside to release the cooler. Probably torx screws. Then you can remove the cooling unit, clean off the existing paste with a coffee filter and then rubbing alchohol, then apply new paste and reattach the cooling system

I unscrewed all screws on the backside 🙁, I saw that there is somekind of paste holding the Heatsink with the GPU, I read that the best way to take it off is heating it with a hair dryer, what do you think?
Im very scared to try it out because I don't want to ruin anything 🙁!!!

BTW I did what you said to back on and call it a day, so I tried playing a video game but It keeps overheating, I know it's the video card that's overheating because when I touch it it's pretty damn hot!!!!

The heatsink being HOT means it's effectively transferring heat from the heat generating GPU to the fins, so that's actually proof there's not an issue in the thermal transmission of heat from the GPU to the heatsink. I'd stop looking there for the issue. I hate to say this but it's most likely the video card going bad - however to test the overheat issue, check the fans are turning just fine, AND place a fan to blow a constant supply of cool air over the heatsink on the card. Let us know if you get more play time - play the same game, mark the time and how many minutes you get with and without the fan. Also what are the symptoms that has you looking at the video card as the issue? Lockup? Artifacting (weird anomalies on the screen)?

Hey, at the end I was able to remove the heatsikn and apply some new thermal paste and put the heatsink back. But still it didn't work 🙁
I got Artifacting on my screen, me and some friends got the conclusion that my video card is bad and I gotta change it :'(!!!!! I tried with a different video card to see if it was my video card problem or my CPU problem but the video card worked just fine.

So I gotta change my video card for something like my ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GT 560ti but the problem is my Mother Board only works with PCI 2.0, and I need a video card just or better like the one I had before and I haven't find any!
I think I'll soon open a new post asking for advice for what graphic card should I buy.

Thanks a lot for your help!!!! Im starting to love this community <3

You're good to go! PCIE 2.0 and 3.0 are perfectly backward and forward compatible. FInd a nice spot on your wall and mount your dead video card because it's cool looking.

They're compatible?!! Omg you just made me so happy right now!
I'll probably make a viking funeral ceremony for my fallen GPU Comrade... we had... so many good times together... so many fights and joys... *sniff* Im sorry... It still hard to accept his dead....
