I have 4 pin atx ( it has 2 by 2 pins in a square formation, not rectangular 4 pins next to each other) coming from psu and want to use it to power dual fans that have one 3 pin cable. How do I do it ? What adapter do I use?
Your computer boots without the 4-pin ATX connector plugged in?
Technically, that connector's not meant to power fans, so there isn't an adapter to connect anything to it. However, there are adapters available to connect a 3-pin fan connector to a 4-pin Molex.

I have two cables one is connected to mobo and another isn't connected to anything. I dont think I have free Molex socket on power supply. How else could I connect the 3pin fan? I don't have free slots on mobo
