How can I connect wirelessly to an external hard drive(NAS) without the internet just using laptops network adapter?

Solution
If the NAS is connected to your local network (your router/modem), you should be able to see it in the file explorer in the network folder. That doesn't require internet connection, just the devices need to be connected to the same router.

The other wireless way would be Wi-Fi direct, but your NAS needs to have that feature.

Solution
You don't need an internet connection but you must have a functioning wireless router to attach the NAS to. That's the whole point of it's name Network Attached Storage. It has to be connected to your wireless network. Your laptop's wireless adapter alone is not a network.
