how can i delete os off my usb?

so i used a usb stick to install windows my new computer and i was trying to use the same usb to move programs into but windows says theres an error with my usb and tried to fix it with no luck so i was wondering if there is any way to delete the os in the usb so i can reuse it

right click format USB stick

Plug in USB, Open My Computer, right click on USB drive, Format NTFS
