How can i delete windows files from my old HDD

I have tried so many methods i know and some i saw online but still getting the "try again" response.

I saw a tutorial on this site https://www.youtknow.com/technology/delete-system-files-windows-10-8-7/ but still it won't work.

Copy anything you wish to keep from that drive to elsewhere.
Then, DELETE all partitions on it.
Reformat, and use as desired.

Of course, a little testing before you go down that road.

1. How did this come to be a secondary drive?
2. Did you install the OS on the current drive, with this one still connected?

To test...
Power OFF
Disconnect this HDD
Power up
Does the system boot properly?
