Question How can I find a case that will work with an HP motherboard (micro ATX) from a pre built PC?

I bought a pre built HP gaming PC, and it's been great for me. It's very small, and has a mini ATX motherboard. I want to upgrade from my current PSU and GPU, but I need a new case to fit them and my current motherboard.

The only issue is that I'm worried the motherboard won't be aligned in the case properly since seemingly it's from a case designed for the motherboard. Does anyone know what I should do? Also, every case I find has its own front ports, but the motherboard has its own, too.

Those boards are designed to work only with the case it is installed into at the factory. Good luck finding anything that will properly connect up with it. In addition it is quite common for the board to be custom manufactured with a non standard hole pattern that will not fit a generic case at all.

Those type systems were NOT designed to be modified.
All the parts work together. Case, PSU, motherboard.

Well I'd prefer if you didn't call it an unknown office PC, but I would carry over my CPU, ram, and nvme ssd

Unknown, as in what CPU?

Can you build a new PC with that stuff? Maybe.

Yeah I'm sure I can. It's an i5 9th Gen. Not the best of the best but It does everything I want it to.

Assuming it is not a BGA socket, then probably can reuse.
Details matter.

Good luck finding an LGA 1151 motherboard these days, that platform is obsolete now. It's also better than even money that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard rather than socketed so no go if that's the case.
