How can I find the IP address of a wireless router who's network is visible?

I am computer science student. The internet in our rooms is provided by the university. The university uses DHCP and assigns private IP addresses of the 10.x.x.x variety. Most computers are at 10.244.x.x, the DNS servers are at 10.238.248.x. There is a wireless network very close to my room, I would like to find the IP address of the router generating that signal.

You would have to somehow connect to it. There is no real way to tell even then it could easily put you is guest network. It may not even be on the network it could be someone private network.

ask the owner of the wireless network if you could use it .

If you know the IP of a WLAN client, you might be able to find the WAP with a traceroute if it does ICMP snooping.
