How can I fix a stuck hard drive spindle?

Hi there yosefu_kun_98,

Have you tried to attach the HDD internally, as you have already taken out of the enclosure? If you haven't, I guess you can try that.
How do you know that the spindle is stuck? There may be some other mechanical damage. Anyway, your safest bet for recovering the data on the drive is to contact some data recovery company. In case you attempt to open up the drive itself, you will expose the platters to dust contaminated environment.

I did try to attach the hard drive internally. My computer didn't detect it. The disk was, however, detected when I connected it to USB-- I just couldn't see anything on it.

I found out that it was a stuck spindle after looking at this webpage: datacent.com/hard_drive_sounds.php
I looked at all of the sounds under the "Toshiba" section, and I noticed that it the "stuck spindle" one sounded just like the problem that I'm having.

In the meantime, I'll look into contacting a data recovery company.
