I just upgraded to windows 11 recently and added more storage and a new cooler to my system and wanted to access my bios and a dumbed down version opens up and only says "Settings" and two big buttons saying on and off that I don't know how to fix. I have an MSI Z390 a pro motherboard. My bios says it's in legacy mode if that matters. Any suggestions?

can you take some photos and show screen shots? upload to imgur and show links here.

what shows in settings menu?

Legacy is just the boot method, UEFI is both the BIOS itself and a boot method, can be confusing. You only have one BIOS, its the UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface)

the BIOS should only have an EZ and advanced mode, not just load to a settings menu.

I wonder if thats a windows menu you loaded into. That doesn't sound like a basic bios menu to me. EZ Mode should have more than that on it. Page 42 here shows what it should look like - https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/E7B98v1.2.pdf

Curious how bios can be in legacy if you on win 11, it should be UEFI to match secure boot.

have you tried to get in via windows?
go to settings/recovery
next to advanced startup, click restart now
this restarts windows in a blue menu
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose UEFI Firmware interface
PC should restart and load into BIOS
