How can I fix my faulty RAM?

So, recently, one of my RAM sticks (2 GB) got a problem and caused my monitor to display that annoying "no signal" message. I've removed it, and thus allowing my PC to work properly again but I was wondering if is it really "broken" already, or can I still fix it?

Solution
While it is working run memtest to see if there is a deeper fault in the RAM. If it comes back clean then it will point to something with the slot/mobo.

It is highly unlikely that you can fix the RAM if it is broken. But first try the stick in another slot to make sure it is the stick and not the slot. Best is to remove all the other RAM and try the suspect stick in each one of the slots on the mobo. If it is relatively new then you might be able to RMA it.

Nvm, I guess. I wiped it with a cloth a few times and tried re-inserting it again and after around a dozen tries, it finally worked again. But perhaps I might need to have it replaced in the future.
