[SOLVED] How can i force Windows to install TL-WN8200ND driver for TL-WN822N?

Hello all, i am having connection issues with my wireless lan (TL-WN822N) adapter. I've found a thread about my issue but the thing is i don't know how to do this ''forcing windows to install another device's driver for my device'' thing. Can you help me please? Thanks for everything.

TL-WN822N Driver: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tl-wn822n/v3/ (It causes problems on win 10 pro x64 i think.)
TL-WN8200ND Driver: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tl-wn8200nd/#Driver (Which i supposed to install it for my own TL-WN822N device.)

first thing is to download the driver you want to use.

uninstall the driver currently in place with the adapter out of the pc.

unzip and run the set-up file for the new driver and follow its instructions. usually it tells you when to plug the device in. once finished, it should be done and good to go. assuming this driver works for the device. i don't have time at the moment to do the research to verify what you found out.

While using "setup.exe" from the other driver might work, there's good chance it will just say "No compatible WiFi device found", and do nothing. With driver files extracted, you should make "Device manager" look into that folder for drives. This is also hit-or-miss, though.

Yeah i actually tried what u said. But the setup wants me to connect the device (TL-WN8200ND, which i don't have) in order to continue. I tried to extract setup files with 3rd party extraction tools and some cmd commands, but unfortunately i was unable to extract files.

other thing you can try is going through device manager and manually installing the driver. it will find the .ini file inside the folder and install from there. it might work that way since the exe file is not running to do the check.

this does not mean it will work but it may at least let you see what happens when it installs.
