How can i format my notebook using a desktop computer?

Dec 2, 2011
i have a "Lenovo ThinkPad X100e Notebook" and i want to format it using another computer desktop, and i already have the original CDs, can you help me in how to connect them and the details to execute this task?
If it is possible to do what you are considering I wouldn't suggest it.

Even if you could connect the two machines and get the desktop to have authority over the laptop hard drive so you can format it, if you tried to install windows from the desktop it would probably install things as if the laptop had the desktop's motherboard which would kill any chance of it being bootable on the laptop's motherboard.

Why is it you want to do what you are suggesting?
