If the TV does not support HDMI 2.0, there is no way to make it work. If it does, then there may be a chance, but doubtful you could get the converter that supports it.
You can't get 144hz from HDMI on that monitor, even if the laptop had HDMI 2.0, which is probably doesn't, since only the GTX 970 and 980 have it, and that monitor is older than HDMI 2.0.

You'd only be able to get 144hz through Dual Link DVI-D or Displayport and even then, most laptops do not support 144hz, even through Displayport.

Doesent HDMI 1.0 support more then 60hz
Please correct me if mistaken.

HDMI 1.4b and below do not support more than 60hz at 1080p and above. At low enough resolutions (I think 720p) you can get up to 75hz. However, HDMI 1.4a can support HD3D at 720p@60hz and 1.4b at 1080p@60hz (per eye). However, that does not apply to 2D. It is still 60hz at 1080p in 2D.
