Question How can I get two independent displays on two external monitors with my laptop?

My laptop only has one hdmi port so I am thinking about using a usb to hdmi adapter, connecting my two external monitors with a display port cable, or using
USB 3.0 to HDMI External Multi Monitor Video Graphics Adapter (https://www.amazon.com/USB-Dual-HDMI-Adapter-External/dp/B00O6G5ZGI?th=1)

If you don't have DP on your laptop, you won't be able to daisy chain DP monitors.

I have a lenovo y50, it does not have a dp slot. Will using an external graphics adapter work?

You'd need a thunderbolt port to use external graphics.

I don't have experience with USB to HDMI, but my understanding is that the experience isn't great.
