How can I get WiFi?

I am now living woth my daughter and have a desktop with windows xp in an upstairs bedroom. They have whole house wireless wifi. How can I get wifi too? It won't let me ask for their codes.

A major side note though. You really, really shouldn't be using a computer with Windows XP on in if its connected to the internet. It's completely discontinued by Microsoft now and receives no security updates.

Thanks! I'll do that. When I click on the double monitor icon (with a red 'x') for the internet, the message comes up saying 'Local Area Connection -- A network cable is unplugged." This makes me wonder if, when I set everything up, I might be missing a cable. Do you still think that device is what I need? Just making sure. Thanks!

There is no port. So, I should get the 2nd item you suggested. right? There seem to be a lot of versions of them... but the one you gave me a link to is the exact best one for me, right? Thank you so much!

Lowest price with a decent review, yes, there are better ones for ~$24, I think this one should be decent.
