How can I install Ubuntu on second HDD from Windows 10 so that Grub is only installed to second HDD

How can I install Ubuntu on second HDD from Windows 10 so that Grub is only installed to second HDD and computer boots straight into Windows 10 without ugly Grub menu intruding on first HDD's boot process?! (PC should boot straight into windows 10 like normal unless boot medium is changed in uefi to the second HDD with Ubuntu on it the if i see grub asking me for ubuntu only options thats more than fine) Ive looked over a huge amount of results on google and everything is either incredibly unhelpful nonuser friendly information or not relevant to my question and I cant find any actual helpful information on the topic other than others have accomplished it and "it can be done its possible to do so" things Ive tried already:

1. Have ONLY the second HDD plugged in, install Ubuntu like normal remove DVD shutdown pc and reconnect Windows 10 HDD change boot medium to reflect the second HDD as first priority start the pc. This ends up with a Grub menu shortly after pressing the power button when starting the PC asking "Windows or Ubuntu" as you can imagine this is not the desired effect I am going for!!!

2. Have both HDDs connected but have ubuntu installer under custom install boot data only to second HDD along will all other installation files and information leaving Windows 10 HDD untouched in terms of what I have told the installer to do! This ends up with a Grub menu shortly after pressing the power button when starting the PC asking "Windows or Ubuntu" as you can imagine this is not the desired effect I am going for!!!

3. Installing Ubuntu via USB drive to only second HDD connected. Once again This ends up with a Grub menu shortly after pressing the power button when starting the PC asking "Windows or Ubuntu" as you can imagine this is not the desired effect I am going for!!!

4. Have only the second HDD attached and tell Ubuntu not to install boot files to any drive when asked where they should be installed to as I imagine this is where the grub problem is coming from but not this doesnt solve the problem as pc boots to black screen after setting second drive to best priority forcing me to go back and change boot order back to reflect windows 10 as first.

*Please note SECURE BOOT is disabled in Uefi along with Windows 10 "Fast StartUp"

So as you can imagine Im totally stumped this thread isnt like ANY I can find on this website as NONE of them will tell you how to install Ubuntu to second HDD without breaking Windows 10 boot process I shouldnt have to put up with such an ugly boot method like grub when i see everywhere on the google people saying exactly what i am asking to find out is possible but then simply refuse to explain how they got it to work so to further simplify my question how can I install Ubuntu so that it will not interfere with Windows 10 boot up in ANY manner and only show signs on having Ubuntu installed on the machine when the boot medium is changed to reflect the drive it was installed to in the installation process so that I DONT end up with Grub when powering on my PC?

THIS THREAD IS NOT LIKE ANY OTHER I CAN FIND AT LEAST BECAUSE THERE "ACCEPTED ANSWER" ENDS UP WITH GRUB MENU WHEN YOU PRESS THE POWER BUTTON ON THE PC THIS IS THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I AM TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH PLEASE DO !!NOT!! TAKE IT UPON YOURSELF TO MERGE THIS THREAD WITH ONE THAT IS NOT RELEVANT TO THIS ONE OR ONE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A PROPER ANSWER THE QUESTION I AM PUTTING FORTH THAT IS WHAT GOT MY LAST THREAD ON A SIMILAR MATTER TO THIS ONE DROPPED AFTER LITTLE LOOKING INTO BY OTHERS :)

Thank you for your time and understanding all who would read and choose to try and help ALL help is greatly appreciated as im pulling my hair out trying to accomplish something that should be so simple it should be done right the first time

You don't.

You disconnect the Windows drive, and install Ubuntu on the other drive.
Choose which one to boot into at boot time. Intercept the boot process and choose.

Otherwise, GRUB will take over and be the boot menu.

Im simply trying to get Grub to be installed to secondary HDD and live ONLY on that HDD so that when i change the boot order to the second drive I will get the grub menu and when boot into into the windows drive windows will start like normal Im so dredfully confused because this was a simple matter under windows 7 just unplug the win7 drive install Ubuntu to the second drive and Grub lives there and only there and never appears outside of booting to that one hdd something must have drastically changed for the worse when it comes to windows 10 because now its like Grub is an all consuming boot virus that refuses to live solely on its own hdd and takes over everything no matter if its only installed on a second hdd or not normally speaking previously unless you are dual-booting from the same hdd Grub never appeared when booting windows 7 unless changing the drive boot order to reflect ubuntu 's drive but now seeming this can no longer be achieved and any grub installation made no matter if its on a separate drive or not takes it upon itself to take control of entire boot process even of a total separate OS like windows is present on a totally different drive and doesnt live on the same hdd the second HDD when spin up when computer starts and read and start grub this is just unneeded its almost like i have to totally unplug the second Ubuntu drive to escape the seemingly virus behavior of grub Ive never liked it and now trying to install it on my windows 10 machine the same way I had it working perfectly before still results in this same horrible result

Right.
Disconnect the Windows drive.
Install Ubuntu on the other drive.
Reconnect the Windows drive after.
Done.

At power on, interrupt the boot process and choose which drive to boot from.

Or am I missing something completely.

What is missing is Grub refuses to live solely on its own drive now what is happening is my PC posts totally like normal first HDD spins up(even though absolutely was certain no changes were made to it ) then slows down second drive spins way up then i get grub asking me "windows 10 or ubuntu or the extended options for either" I shouldnt have Grub on a second drive spinning my first drive down and taking over when its not first in boot priority when the windows 10 drive is first in position it should read the first drive not the second but Grub is totally interfering with this process and taking over the entire process when its living on a drive and should be only on that drive when it was installed there was only one HDD connected so it should be living on that HDD and that one alone as i said its making its job to take over the whole boot job and ask me a ugly superfluous question if my windows 10 drive is always first priority there is no reason my pc should not just auto boot windows if no changes have been made to the windows 10 drive which as it was totally unplugged at the time there was no way that could have taken place and now plugging the drive back in making sure the boot priority is right and starting the pc ends up with Grub which should not be taking place as its on a totally different HDD on a totally different sata connection I admit there might have been some drastic change to windows 10 for the worse im not aware of but simply having one drive plugged in with windows 7 the having only the ubuntu drive plugged in for that installation had Grub live on ONLY that drive and never appear unless I booted that specific drive and now under windows 10 grub quite frankly behaves how boot viruses do taking over the entire boot procedure and wont give you any choice in the matter

If the Windows drive is disconnected during the Ubuntu install, and if the Windows drive is first in the boot order..how does GRUB override this process?

It should never get to the point of GRUB doing anything, unless you interrupt the boot order and tell it to boot from te secondary Ubuntu drive.

I'm not seeing how what you describe could be happening.
