How can I install Windows 7 on brand new motherboard (ASUS P8Z68-V Pro)?

I have just built a computer with the ASUS P8Z68-V & I am having trouble loading the OS. I have installed both a Seagate 2TB HD and an ASUS BD Drive but when installing the software from a Windows 7 disk as well as the the motherboard's support disk into the BD...the green LED blinks for a few times then turns off and the disk cannot be read.

Any ideas of what I can do to get Windows loaded onto the HD or of why the Disk Drive is not responding, and yes the BIOS is recognizing both components and both are enabled.

If the drive is not reading the disc, the drive is probably faulty. Is the bios/uefi configured to boot from the Asus BD drive? Is the disc in the drive prior to the computer trying to boot from it?

Try a USB Installation, but you must use the Native USB 2.0 ports from the I/O ports. Some DVD drives simply won't work.
