How can i know if my grapich card can deliver 144hz?

I got an gtx 960 and in the specs it stands 4096 x 2160 for 60 Hz. What does this mean and how can i know if my graphic card can delvier 144hz?

As said, frame rates do matter with keeping up with a monitor's high refresh rates. Resolution and newer titles can have an impact as graphics cards age and eventually out classed. However games more inline with your card's performance capabilities like csgo and desktop working/browsing environment will be greatly improved compared to 60Hz.

In determining resolution/Hz capabilities of the graphics card, go by the connection types the video card has.

1080p 144Hz = DVI-D Dual Link or DisplayPort
1440p 144Hz = DisplayPort

4096 x 2160 60 Hz = HDMI 2 or DisplayPort

Graphics card specifications hardly ever (if not at all) list information like what you're seeking and is annoying. They just list the absolute max resolution the card is...

Your GFX card doesn't deliver Hz. That is a refresh rate of a monitor. 144FPS will meet a 144Hz monitor's needs. About the only card that can deliver a consistent 144FPS on most titles is a 1080 Ti. If you lower the GFX settings in game other cards(1080, 1070) can as well.

DVI-D requires a Dual-Link connection to achieve 1080p @ 144Hz. DVI-D Single-Link is bandwidth limited but this port looks identical to Dual-Link DVI port so if use a monitor with this connection type, look through the graphics card's specifications.

DisplayPort is the usual recommendation if your card has one, it can also carry audio like HDMI if monitor had speakers. DisplayPort looks similar to HDMI, little different.
