How can i know if my motherboard supports ddr3?

Hey every1, I have an Acer Aspire E700, with 2 DDR2 PC2-5300 RAM chips (1024 mb each) on FG965M motherboard and id really like to change that to ddr3 ram. Having surfed on quite a lot of sites i found out that ddr2 motehrboards dont usually support ddr3. So im wondering if ddr3 ram would work on my mobo?

no, they are physically different, so they wont fit in the slots.
