How can I make a wireless laptop become non-wireless

Hi! I have a Windows XP wireless laptop. As soon as I turn it on, it automatically connects to the Internet. After April 8th, I do not want to go online with XP. Is there a way to still be able to use my laptop and not have it connect to the Internet.

You disconnect it using a physical switch or using setting.

Control Panel --> Network Connections

Right-Click on Wireless Network Connection and select disable.
