How can I make desktop icons text only with no images?

I know this is a weird ask, but I want the icon image to be transparent so my desktop background shows through. I want to keep the text though. All I can find on google is solutions to bring back missing icon images.
Any ideas please?

You can choose a transparent icon from the set of all icons.
Default icons should have it
C:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll
