So I'm saving up for a gaming PC and I need money for it budget 700+ (any amount above 700 I can save up to). So the current situation is I'm 13 (nearly 14) and I'm looking for a job I applied for some jobs but most are dodgy or have a no u16 policy. I get £30 a month for chores and at a maximum 400 for Christmas but I spend 100-200 on presents for family. Any idea how I might get a job that is not online surveys. I went to wash cars but parents say I need some type of insurance for that and I feel awkward asking people if they want a job done for money if I do a job cause I usually do stuff like mowing lawns and walking dogs for free as there are a lot of elderly people on my street and I like being outdoors. I live in the Glasgow area. Anyone know any company that would hire 14 year olds?

Solution
mow lawns, weed gardens, rake leaves, pressure wash, coat driveways, paint fences... etcetera.

if you have access to tools, are allowed and have knowledge to use them you could have a hobby of making small crafts and selling them. people buy interesting knick knacks and craft items. wood signs, birdhouses, lighthouses, wood carvings, pens, etcetera.

i highly doubt any place is going to employ someone at 13 on their payroll. any young people working are typically brought in by people already working at the company as some cheap help.. often you need a contact to get your foot in the door. even if you had that ... only low level safe jobs would be appropriate. well, other than farmers who have their kids in the field farming with them...

We were all 13 years old once. Old enough to know what you want, not quite old enough to actually earn it.

Anything you find online is either a 100% scam, or sooooo not worth the time.
Seriously....mowing lawns and similar is probably your best bet. Neighborhood networking. Build up a reputation.

Secondly, think about cutting down on the 100-200 at Christmas. You are what is important, not 'stuff for other people'.

Yes....VERY thoughtful. And a very tough age.
But that 'age' only lasts a year or two.
