How can i O'C my CPU?

My first O'C happend a few days ago my graphics card, now i want more i want to overclock my 3700 cpu how do i go about this. Do i need to download software? And is it as easy as O'C my x1900xt? I am on standered fan cooling on cpu. Thanks 😱

you up the fsb or ht link in the bios or you could do it from windows with oc tools

what tools would you need for windows

Clockgen to over clock it.
Speed Fan to monitor temps.
Burn Max to see if it's stable running on high for multiple hour's and time and petience help's too.

Well I did my clocking in Clockgen and then ran Max Burn to see if it was stable, restarted and ran it agian to make sure. Worked out good.

running 3700+ with stock cooler at 2.4 GHz and idle temps of mid 30's C

It has four settings.
Idle, which is as iff all the cpu is being used
Normal, Little more intense CPU usage
High, ALOT of CPU usage (Can't move mouse around and hard to stop so keep the mouse on the stop botton)
Real Time, I don't know exactly what this one is

And Four time settings Infinite, 1 Min, 10 Min, and 60 Min.
