How can i play multiplayer games with other pc?

I want to play multiplayer games with friends.
How can i connect 2 laptops wireless??
I also have Lan cable.
i want to play counter strike & age of empire 3
both laptops have windows 7,

i have make wifi network with wifi hotspot in android phone....
