How can i play video files have wmv extensions?

I downloaded *rar. file and extracted it. but it couldn't be played, a message appearing the file hase wmv extension and it dose'nt match the file. so how i can play the file.

Did you try this free media player!

WMV files should paly fine with Windows Media player itself.
If they are not playing with Media player try VLC as area51 said!
