How can I prevent "Choose keyboard layout" after updating?

I've noticed a lot of posts on the internet about people getting stuck on the "choose keyboard layout" screen because they're keyboard/mouse isn't working, but that's not my problem. I am able to select my layout ("US"), then choose "continue to windows 10" on the next screen. After that, the computer/windows starts normally.

What I want is to not have to do this at all. How do I prevent this screen from appearing? Often I'll come to the computer after being away for some hours only to be presented with the "choose keyboard layout" screen, so then I have to click through it and then wait for Windows to boot up.

So, is there a way to prevent the startup from being interrupted by this?

Well, recently it has happened on two different computers for me; 1 desktop and 1 laptop.
