if you still have old style analog cable you may be able to use a splitter but if it is all digital then it is not possible without another set top box
If OP is just asking how to run a TV and a PC, that just requires a splitter.
If you are wanting to run multiple TV's then yes you may need more Set top Boxes ( I only lose 2 channels without a set top box on my digital tv service )
i was assuming the OP was trying to use a TV card in the computer so she could watch or record programs on her PC.
i wouldn't think it would be a good idea to split a cable line that is supposed to be dedicated just for the modem as that could degrade performable and/or cause all kinds of connectivity problems
You can buy a cable splitter from walmart and run one cable to your tv, and another cable to your cable modem. Easy as Pie...

Hi Fungi, well I guess that is easy as pie... can you tell me what kind of cable splitter to get? I read the other response and you are correct.... I only want to hook up to one tv.
