How can I ramp up the voltage?

Hey all,

I have a 3750k at 4.5 and 1.250V. Is there anyway I can make it ramp down when idle and ramp up when I'm using a program that needs it?

Enable SpeedStep aka EIST in your BIOS under CPU features. Your core voltage must be set to auto or offset mode as well.

If I put it on auto is there no way to control how high the voltage will go?

as soda said, auto OR OFFSET mode. Definitely use offset mode, that'll make your vcore drop when idiling.

Do you know what that would be labelled as? When I try to change my core voltage the only options I get are auto and normal or manual

normal? That's very odd for a motherboard to list normal as a voltage option.

Yes I am using F18, the last update before a beta update for the GA-Z77X-UD3H
