A pencil was between the sheets of a stack of paper placed on top of the Canon Pixma MX472 printer. It eventually dislodged and rolled into the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) output slot. I discovered this sometime later when I attempted to print, and the paper would not feed. Before my discovery I was using the printer, it performed normally. After removing the stack from the load tray and looking for a paper jam, I saw that the blockage was the pencil lodged in the cavity of the printer. I assumed the constant vibrations cause it to fall deeper inside.
