How can I restore my .exe files?

Most of my desktop icons have transformed into paint logos and have added ".lnk" onto the end of their titles. I am unable to open anything with the logo on them because "paint cannot read this file."
How can I restore my icons? D= ...My antispyware and cleanup programs are .lnk too..

I ran into that trojan a while ago... run this registry fix then restart pc, after that scan your pc with MalwareBytes (www.malwarebytes.org).
