Hey guys, I had an old game laying around that I used to play a lot when I was little called Hard Truck 2: King of the Road. It is DirectX 7-based and I was wondering how I could run it on a Windows 8 laptop. The laptop is an Acer Aspire V3-551-x630. It has a 2.3 GHz AMD A10-4600M with Turbo Core up to 3.2, 10 GB of DDR3 RAM, an AMD Radeon 7660G with 512MB of dedicated video memory, along with the infamously useless Windows 8. It has DX11.1 pre-installed into Windows 8 (obviously) and its only backwards compatible with 9.1. Because of that there are no drivers (i think) that have DX7 support for my graphics setup, causing the game to tell me I have no graphics accelerator, when I clearly have one. So, how can I possibly run the game without running a VM (virtual machine, i think you guys know this) or without using 3DAnalyzer because that program was utterly worthless to me.
