I have sold a lot of PC hardware on Craig's List for over 10 years. The scammers and criminals mostly target people selling smaller electronics (smart phones, laptops, tablets) and jewelry that can easily be sold at pawn shops or on the street. I don't get the connection with smart phone robberies because most of the time they are locked down by the owner and rendered useless without the password or fingerprint to unlock.
But I will say the larger the metro city area you live in, specifically one that has its own Craig's List sub-listing as a city, the better your chances are of a sale or at least a fast response due to the high volume of shoppers (Craig's List New York City, Craig's List Atlanta, etc.).
For pricing, that case runs for $143 on Amazon. I would advertise it for $120 and expect a little haggling. The lower your initial asking price, the more responses you'll get. Someone shopping your item likely shopped elsewhere as well and is familiar with what it's worth in a fair price (to them). Good luck!
