As noted elsewhere...more info needed
What do you have now?
What are you adding?
What do you want the end state to be?

I have my OS installed on an ssd. I also have a hard drive where I install my big games/programs so that my ssd does not fill up. What I'm asking is that if I buy a new HDD to replace the one I am using for extra storage can I seamlessly just clone the partition or something so that I can continue to use the shortcuts and stuff?

OK, there we go.
Yes. If you a full clone from one drive to another, and ensure the new one is the same drive letter as the old one, it should be OK.

OK thanks for answering my other question too.

actually the HDD is loud it it makes loud clicking sounds when it is working so I ordered a new one in case it fails soon.

About the cloning: How do I make sure the drive letter is the same, do i change it in windows disk managment and does it stay that letter forever when I change it to the old one?

You can change it after, or whenever.
