okay so atm, i got a 4820k *lga2011* and a asus p7x79 le and it works fine.
BUT.. this mobo sucks.
so before, i had a 3930k on a g1 assassin 2 *lga2011* and cpu fried..
without risking my new processor, how can i determine if the mobo works?

also, what kinda physical signs am i looking for on the mobo to determine if its damaged?
i kinda bent a few pins too so i dunno if its that or something else
does a mobo even turn on its lights if its without processor? anything to lemme know its alive?

Well a start to troubleshoot the mother would be plugging the case's leds or switches, it should also show some lights once it's powered on. It's not a definitive answer but it is a first step to determine how dead is it.
Also, the pins you bent, were those from the mobo or the cpu?

And yes, even without processor it should show some "alive" signs. Probably won't boot or anything but it should power up anything plugged to it.
