How can I transfer PC files backed up on Seagate to new Mac

I just bought a MacBook Pro and would like to transfer the files from my PC that are backed up on my Seagate Manager.

Can this be done without other software?

Yes, as long as all the software on the drive is compatible with Mac OS.

If your Backup drive is in NTFS format, it wouldn't be possible. Mac will detect your drive as only readable. You wouldn't be able to write to it.
You have to use something like this..
