I recently bought a Hp elite 8000 off amazon.ca with these specs : Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz, 4GB DDR3
RAM, 240 watt psu and a 160GB SATA Drive.
I was wondering if i could add a GT 730 DDR3, 64-bit gpu to my system. Would it still work even though it says it needs 300 watts?
It says it needs 300 watts for all three variants, which confuses me because the 128 bit version uses 50 watts and the 64 bits version only uses 23 watts so why are they the same minimum recommended power.
Changing psu is not an option for me by any means.
I also have another question would this setup be able to run games like endless space 2 or minecraft with mods for example pixelmon.
Final question would i be able to switch the case to something more appealing and upgrade-able.
Here are the links to the computer and the gpu
