I currently own a system, but I think that it's a shame to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Before I commit to buying a system and throwing this one out, is there any way that I can update it?
Here is what I am looking to do/currently am doing:
I use the computer as my main entertainment center. I have it hooked up to a 42" samsung TV (and I would prefer to upgrade the TV later to a 4K television...) through an HDMI connection from my video card. I mostly watch Netflix, and download whatever other content that I watch. I do some light gaming, mostly with MAME, or some MMORGS like D&D online, and perhaps GTA4 when I get a hankering to do so.
I am not looking for a system that is cutting edge, nor do I want/need to drop 4K on a badass system that truth be told, I won't really maximize the use from. (Besides, I already own a Wii, and a WiiU for platform gaming.)
Here are my specs through the Belarc to give an idea. I am looking to maybe spend 500-1K on upgrades, and if the option was there - keep my current hardware (RAM, Hard drives) but I am not adverse to changing the mobo and CPU, and graphics cards.
The only issues right now is playback stutters a bit, and the sound is crap (but it could be my TV, or the computer.)
The USB ports sometimes crap out too, but I am not sure how to fix that.

I updated the power supply when I first got the computer, I believe it is a 600W supply. Also, the RAM is Crucial's 8 x 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.8V 256Meg x 64
I hope this helps. I am not 100% sure where to start, but I think thsi is the best site to see....
