It's just a different type of SSD, more like a circuit board with memory chips that plugs into a special slot, it has a faster interface than the SATA 3 that most SSDs use.....if you already have an SSD, then don't worry about it.
As already mentioned, the best upgrade you could get is the sell your RX 480, take that money + your $250 and get a GTX 1070. Apart from that, overclocking your CPU to it's maximum is about all you can do.
Well everything looks good. I mean how much more FPS are you trying to get? What type of monitor do you have? What games are playing? What resolution are you playing at?

You could possibly seel the RX 480 for around $175-200 and take that money and grab a GTX 1070, but if you are on 1080p, there is really no point in upgrading.

Not in getting more FPS. Putting games will only load them faster. And even then it's only about 5-10 seconds, not something to waste money on, if it's just for gaming. Like I said, getting a higher card, maybe like a GTX 1070 will probably be the best bet if he wants to hit that sweet 144fps.

Other option would be to get a nice cpu cooler and get some overclock.

I agree with this as at 1080p, games are mainly CPU-bound.
