How can I use a mechanical Car Water Pump with electricity?

I have an old 2001 Hyundai Sonata water pump replacement from Kabuki. It is mechanical and I have no idea what to do with it. I was planning on building a DIY fountain with it, but I don't know how to power the thing. I've seen some forums talk about using a Drive belt (which I have) but how would I move the Drive belt.

I don't really know where this belongs so it's in the car section. If a moderator that knows where this belongs comes along, then can you please move it over. Thanks!

Is there any way I could block it off to make it a work, such as screwing metal on or something. And what are some ways that I can just make it turn. I have a timing belt so if I need to use that I can.
For enclosing it, would I just have to make the gap between the walls of the pump smaller, so the hole for water to come out of is smaller and is on top of the pump. Do I also fill the empty space to increase pressure? Thanks

The pictures make it look like the impeller (the part that spins) sticks out past the edges of the casting. It that is the case then I don't think you could easily do anything. IF the impeller doesn't stick out past the edges of the casting, then maybe you could do something with it.

I would also like to know how to make the "fan"/"motor" move. Can I use a timing/drive belt since I have quite a bit. How would I move the Timing belt. I have a few motors around.

Yes, any kind of belt should work. For a fountain, you would probably need to use a geared speed reducer on a motor. Most electric motors are 1500 or 1800RPM. That would probably pump way too much. Maybe a 5 to 1 or 10 to 1 speed reducer on the motor. I wouldn't worry about reducing the size of the intake and discharge ports on the pump. Change the flow by the gear ratio on the motor and the pump.

I would like the look of the car pump and I would rather use spare parts then buy something like that. Also amazons best selling water pump is $8.
